Rank-specialized interfaces for batched HIP/ROCm functions are not usable in the current state as the backend expects a pointer to pointer as argument, which cannot be mapped to a multidimensional Fortran array.
- However, the direct bindings might work by passing the first element of a contiguous array of type(c_ptr) type to the backend, i.e. something like this:
```
type(c_ptr),dimension(5) :: mybatch

! allocate the batch items
...
!
! Call the HIP/ROCm binding or interface and pass the first element:
ierr = myhipfunction_batched(... mybatch(1))
```

Further testing is necessary to confirm that this works.
