The screenshots are of a new playthrough I made before sending the issue. The bottom one is me picking the character and top is the change and stop. Its not in the logs. But my previous tries are.
Please post the log file generated by RPCS3 upon closing the emulator. The log shown in the GUI does not contain all the information about what the emulator is doing
Is this what you need? Sorry, its my first time doing this. And the apps are not letting me open the files to check what's inside. RPCS3.log.gz
Ah, I'm a dumbass. I forgot that I can extract it.
I get this same issue with the Japanese game. Rearranging party order is pretty much a sure-fire way of freezing your game immediately, but it can also happen while navigating any other in-game menu, I've found. (specifically the pause screen: attack combos, equipped items, etc.) Have tried setting my game to all of the pre-defined frame rate limits. May have affected how long it takes, but all setups invariably crashed at some point.
This issue is still present, but something has changed. The game doesn't stop forever. The game stops, but after a minute (approximately, times vary) two messages appear in the log, and then the game resumes.
The messages in the log:
E SYS: 'sceNpTrophyUnlockTrophy' failed with 0x80022915 : SCE_NP_TROPHY_ERROR_ALREADY_UNLOCKED [1] E SYS: 'cellMsgDialogAbort' failed with 0x8002b302 : CELL_MSGDIALOG_ERROR_DIALOG_NOT_OPENED [1]
I had posted about this in the RPCS3 server's #help channel, and with the help of user casserole (or cas), I was able to determine that anti-aliasing seems to have an effect on how long it takes before the aforementioned log messages show up. The issue still persists, however, but is potentially lessened by disabling anti-aliasing. RPCS3.log.gz
Upon further examination, it seems that using the ASMJIT recompiler along with the "Allow Host GPU Labels" seems to eliminate the freezes upon changing formation. Compared to the previous log, notice how the time between Unlock Trophy Thread messages is significantly lessened. In gameplay, formation changes behave just as they should on real hardware. I was playing Hyperdimention Neptunia(ps3 rom). Its a turn based game. It was working fine until I tried to rearrange the parties order. It plays perfectly, everything works smoothly. But if I dare change the order of a party just once, the game stops. Not crashes, just stops. The animations are still moving, the music still playing, but my controller functions just stop working. Can't click go back, move left, right, up, down, click ok, start, nothing. I just get stuck in the party menu. It
doesn't respond to any commands and then I have to close the game to make it work again. The only solution I'm aware of, just don't change the order of the party. But that can bring me long term problems if I want to be strategic. I thought you guys may want to know about it. I don't know if its my PC or the emulator not working properly.
