Well, a couple of months ago, I tried using older builds to try to find it and there isn't a single build that had Build a Label working again.
The game crashes on each of those builds.
Hey, just to update, still is an issue on the latest build #13562. The game is marked as playable however this essentially makes the game unplayable out of the "Throw Down" mode.
For context, I have the same settings as listed here which are retrieved from the wiki.
To replicate the issue consistently I found that you have to:
If done in one session, you'll end up with the same issue. After this point, the game will crash and you will not be able to load the save from this point. Not entirely sure if the save is corrupted after it crashes the first time.

Hopefully this can be some help to narrow down the issue. Unlike OP, I never played the game previously with older builds so not entirely sure if it is a regression issue.
Anyone fix this issue yet. I can not continue from the hdd or from the save state. Please see below for the log:
