Fuel Overdose [NPEB00876] - Car does not accelerate #13293

Open Rex000 opened 1 year ago

Rex000 commented 1 year ago

Quick summary

The car accelerate button does nothing. Hence the car doesn't move. Other cars that are competing against you don't move either.

Details

Tried on PC keyboard. Remapping the "accelerate" key doesn't resolve the issue either. The game is unplayable because of this issue.

Your log does have anything in it

Virtua64 commented 1 year ago

Works fine here, using ps4 gamepad. This is with the game's update installed

I've re-uploaded the log.

AniLeo commented 1 year ago

Does it work if you use a gamepad, or is it only on keyboard? Though if other cars don't move this is more likely to be a CPU emulation issue, and I'd guess specific to old CPUs. Can you upload a video?

Rex000 commented 1 year ago

I don't have a gamepad. Here is video:

Try accurate xfloat, if it doesn't work try interpreter recompilers (SPU and PPU). If those don't work, turn settings back to defaults (ensure fps limit and vsync are off). If that doesn't work try a build from a year ago or so and see if this is a regression or not.

Rex000 commented 1 year ago

Tried all of those options; no change.

Tried the following builds as well; still the same issue: 0.0.20-13243 0.0.18-12790 0.0.16-12394

Rex000 commented 1 year ago

Anything else needed?

AniLeo commented 9 months ago

The game was reported Playable on build v0.0.13-11409 So it's likely a regression between that build and the v0.0.16-12394 you tested, can you confirm?

For this issue we have no idea what could be the culprit, if it's a regression we need to pinpoint the commit that introduced it

How do I search for that particular build on the rpcs3 downloads page?

Rex000 commented 9 months ago

Found build v0.0.13-11409 somehow, but has the same issue...
