Other details

Too difficult to get a capture as it random and only occurs for 1 frame

Also If you got the full game it missions three (Manchester) and four(Nottingham) of the campaign

This one affects all insomniac games and is not a RSX regression. It is caused by one of the recent SPU PRs. Please check for the regression PR if possible. I can also check since it is so excessive especially in R&C ACiT, but I have no capacity to do much outside Sundays for the next few weeks.

sorry to omit infomation but this is not a recent regression the images and the issue date back to 17th nov 2022 before a tested any of the rathect and clanks game so i does'nt affect all insomic games. Never move to github as make the capute proved to be too difficultat the time

Also if you can get your hands on the demo would recomend as you can skip to the second mission where the error occurs on the ingame menu.

I have a regression that looks similar affecting all insomniac titles. I'll have to bisect that on Sunday.

Unfortunately my symptoms vanished midway through testing when I had to reset to default configuration and reconfigure. I'll have to ignore that issue for now.

If we take that regression out of the equation, the other flashing stuff isn't debuggable since we can't capture it, so we just have to keep an eye on it and observe any behavioural changes over time.

Please try the newest version, as the newest version bring graphical improvements for Insomniac. Also, please do remember to close the thread if its solved.

I try to take a capture going to utilities and pressing Create rsx capture but seem to give an error. RSX: Display queue was discarded while not empty!

tried using to shortcut seemed to work but also gave an error. F {RSX [0x100000cc]} SIG: Thread terminated due to fatal error: Verification failed (in file /rpcs3/rpcs3/Emu/RSX/Common/expected.hpp:93[:13], in function T rsx::expected<rsx::surface_antialiasing>::operator*() const [T = rsx::surface_antialiasing, E = rsx::exception_utils::soft_exception_t]) (errno=110=Connection timed out)

Can confirm the green fire happening in the full game and it's pretty easy to test if you have a save file on level 3 as you can see it happening right at the start of the level, it happens almost every time and always at the same spot, on the left side of the map, behind some broken building where there is some fire, so it could be something related to that fire effect (it has a distortion effect in it which could be related).

Couldn't check the other as it's much deeper into level 4. Maybe later.

Running on a i7-1365HX 2.60GHz 16GB RAM and a Nvidia RTX 4060 with 8GB VRAM RPCS3 0.0.32-16659-33851d51 Alpha

usually those kind of issues are solved (on my env with 7800X3d and GTX970) enabling Write Color Buffers or setting ZCULL Accuracy to at least Approximate instead of Relaxed. I had a similar issue on resistance 3 and fixed it enabling Write Color Buffers

Unfortunately that doesn't fix it. Just tested it on the latest version (0.0.32-16679-8236b58a)
