Emulator configurations:

I think it must be a regression of #5965

The compatibility list shows the game as playable.

You have to update disc LBP1 to 1.30 for it to work.

It seems to be caused by missing files maybe (?)

I needed to run the game once (getting stuck at the loading screen) to be able to install he .pkg file.

You have to install all updates, not just 1.30. They are not cumulative updates in most cases, but incremental. If you jump to the latest one, you'll break the game

This is more of a support case for something like our Discord server at this point.

I'd argue that this should actually be reopened. ...That or for #8000 to be edited to encapsulate all problems with the error:

sys_net: sys_net_bnet_select(): exceptfds not implemented

LBP2 spams the log with these exact messages and severely degrades performance whilst creating log files in the 10-100GB range after a few hours gameplay.

Even with LBP2 fully up-to-date (1.33), the messages appear. No setting under 'Network' influences it either. It's generally advised to disable all logging for LBP2 under 'Advanced' because of this and, in my personal experience, makes it a pain in the ass to upload reports when even triple compressed logs are 200-300MB.
