Two options here - we can either have them import their contacts (which may turn them off) or we can have them input each contact separately (in the second option we lose the ability to [potentially] get people's names....which is fine b/c we don't need them for an account creation but they'll have to input that info when signing in for the first time).

Why would it preclude us? We would, imho, just make it first name, last name, email address as required fields. That creates the account for the attendee. We also need their names for the party forms, so we'd have to ask for it anyway.

I would say we could add import contacts for the future, depending on degree of difficulty (personally, if I was going to invite only 10 people, I'd hate having to wade through my entire list of FB or gmail contacts to find those 10)...
