This app should be able to handle the USB device being unplugged and then plugged in again. When the device is disconnected it should stop overriding the volume buttons.

Maybe possible by watching USB device list? Maybe libCEC has something to get us started?

Volume not working on OS X with TV's is kind of a pet annoyance of mine 😂 .

Perhaps I could help with this PR though I first need a device capable of interfacing between my Samsung TV and the Mac Mini.

Do you have any pointers?

Google says Pulse Eight is the go to device. Is that what you're using?
