Sounds good. I'm assuming we should move forward with development of this section anyway, so at least we'll be able to show participants something to get their reaction to these data points? I'm thinking we'll conduct this usability testing during the beta testing period, since essentially I'm out the rest of the month between vacation and the off-site?
I think we’ll have to do it with designs, not implementation. I’ve cut out of the implementation some of the elements that ED thought would not be good influences on the decision-making process. We’ll need data to back up if we think they should go in. Let’s shoot to do it as early as we can after we’re all back in the office. It’s fine, just may not make it into 1.0. No problem.
Sounds good!
FYI -- will be testing this with our upcoming adult learner usability tests later this week and next week.
Updating with feedback from usability test sessions.
Adult Students:
Should continue to do post-launch.
Per October usability testing with high school students, there were no specific asks for data associated with % 1st generation students, Average age at enrollment, % students over 24, or family income as it pertains to socio-economic diversity. There were requests for things like school activities/sports/clubs, fraternities/sororities (which I know we do not have the data for).
If anything, I would recommend adding:
@LisaGee Is your question answered? If so, is there somewhere that we should put this information and close the issue?
We should do usability testing to see if students are looking for data like: % 1st generation students Average age at enrollment % students over 24 Family Income etc....
