Haha, I don't take advice from ESR ;) Honestly, the "Windoze" thing is dismissive of perfectly fine folks and might turn them away from your very neat project!

The real problem with Windows however is that i simply don't use it and only tested PRET once on Win7. While Python should be platform-independent, there are probably bugs (Unicode issues etc.). If things break, please commit fixes :)
