These are just suggestions, feel free to input you opinions
suggestions aee features right?
nope :) Don't worry about proper labels, i'll set them right, if they are wrong
Exotic Cultivation (Medieval) Unlocks growing Agave, Bananas, Oranges, Grapes, etc... Unlocks brewing Tequila and Wine if fermentation has already been researched
We don't need too many food options, only those which have unique properties or growing conditions. I've added bananas, rice, grapes and agave for now, as either alcohol source, or desert biome special plants (could be good feature too)
Soil Cultivation (Neolithic?) Unlocks the ability to plow soil to improve growth speed Allows you to place soil on stone floors that have been smoothed
We have plowing (making tillage) in medieval for that. Farming should not be main food source for neolithic (it should be hunting)
Permafrost (Neolithic?) Allows you to dig up ice (hard work) to access to soil with a similar growth speed to gravel
We will look for special solutions in harsh biomes later. It would require separate proper discussion.
Fertilizer (Requires Soil Cultivation) (Medieval) Corpses can be turned into fertilizer, which can be used to make very fertile soil that can be placed on permafrost, soil, or smooth stone
I think that best solution would be producing ash as a side effect of cremation or burning wood fuel, which could be used as fertilizer. Don't know how to make proper fertilizing mechanic though yet.
Cooking I, II
The meal system needs proper discussion, since i don't want to have great variety of meals which are all the same. Each thing we add should serve it's own purpose.
Hospitality I, II
Joy objects could be think of, but they would require making their own jobDrivers (code). So i would like to postpone this matter.
As for interactions with visitors, it all will be remade as part of the new diplomacy system, which would require it's own discussion later.
Allows for production of soy milk out of beans (OP?)
not really unless you make it manual/automatic if late game.
I only ask because milk is normally obtained from animals, so that'd render them useless, seeing as it'd be much easier to just grow beans
Why not just keep milk as food source and cooking ingridient?
it still would be, but since it would be easier to grow beans and turn them into milk (and possibly tofu), raising animals for meat or milk would be even less economical
We could make soy as meat substitute, but it would be pretty op. Let's keep it till modern period at least.
