Dear Dr. Song,

Thank you for accepting our invitation to speak at the inaugural Pathways 2024 symposium. Below you will find information about your presentation, Thursday night reception, and symposium logistics. Items that require action or a response from you are bolded. All action items and responses are due February 5, 2024, unless otherwise indicated. Please reach out to me at any time with questions.

What we need from you: • Please send me a high-resolution headshot and a short bio
• Invited speakers are asked to prepare a 10-minute talk (with an additional 5 minutes for questions) that is accessible to a broad audience of researchers, describing how their work fits into the pathway of translational medicine. Speakers are encouraged to explain how they connect with other fields and highlight parts of the translational process that may often be left out of the conversation. The goals of the presentations, and the overall symposium, are to seed collaboration and demonstrate opportunities for trainees that they may not have previously considered. • Please send a copy of your presentation to me by 5 p.m., March 19, 2024 Thursday night reception, March 21, 2024: • The Thursday panel and reception will focus on trainee engagement, with a “career pathway” panel featuring perspectives from different career stages and areas of translational medicine. There will also be a poster session and networking time for trainees to meet panelists, symposium speakers, and present their posters to a smaller group. • The trainee panel session begins at 3:30 pm, and the poster session/reception will run 5:30-7:30 pm. A full agenda will be sent once finalized. • Please let me know if you plan to attend this event Logistics:
• We will automatically register you for the Friday symposium. If you would like to attend the Thursday panel and reception, please let me know as soon as possible. • Let me know if you have any dietary restrictions, as we will be ordering breakfast and lunch for Friday. Lastly, let me know if you need a hotel for Thursday night. The symposium will cover this cost and book the room for you.

A calendar invitation for both the Thursday reception and Friday Symposium will be sent to hold the dates and times.

Thank you!
