A Spawn model of the High Order Model (HOM) of a one-family dwelling (OFD) contained in the AixLib library has been developed. The simulation time can be reduced by up to 50 % using Spawn. Additionally, more accurate results are obtained due to the simulation of the building in EnergyPlus. We want to add the developed Spawn HOM to BESMod.

To simulate Spawn models with the CI binaries need to be installed. Necessary steps are either

clone Buildings library from Github (binaries not included)
Download Spawn binaries from https://spawn.s3.amazonaws.com/builds/Spawn-light-0.4.3-7048a72798-win64.zip
Unzip Spawn-light-0.4.3-7048a72798-win64.zip at "Buildings/Resources/bin"

or

download Buildings library from https://simulationresearch.lbl.gov/modelica/download.html. Required binaries are included.

Furthermore, the flag Advanced.CompileWith64=2 needs to be set.
