How may I get the play store running, any ideas?

This does not work either: https://www.google.com/android/uncertified/?pli=1

I'm not sure what you mean that it doesn't work? So far it has worked for everyone. Can you outline what steps you followed and maybe we can see where it's going wrong?

Did you extract the Google Services Framework ID and submit it to Google?

AIArt20 commented 1 week ago

Yes, but no success after hours.

Well sometimes it takes as much as an hour. Be sure to reboot the device even though it is not supposed to be necessary.

So far everything is amazing, I love this android phone. Maybe the best phone ever :D Errors: Playstore, Bluetooth, Cam

Camera app can be fixed. Go here and grab boot.img and vendor.img:

https://firmburrow.rabbitu.de/rabbitude/dumps/src/commit/a966826ff9d5236d05f1eeae456dae70e2a4ffbc

You don't need to do the unlocking stuff again. Just start from here:

adb reboot bootloader (to get into Fastboot mode) fastboot reboot-fastboot (to get into FastbootD) fastboot flash boot boot.img fastboot flash vendor vendor.img fastboot reboot

The Camera app will now work without crashing, but you'll see that it's pointing down in privacy mode. On the R1, swipe down to open Quick Settings, then click the edit pencil so you can edit the tiles, and scroll down and find the Privacy tile and drag it up to the top. When you click it, it will toggle between Front, Rear, and Privacy.

I followed this thread and tried the camera fix and brick my device. I downloaded the BOOT.IMG and then VENDOR.IMG, once rebooted, the RABBIT screen showed up without the text, then stuck in the RABBIT boot loop. Unable to enter fast boot nor use ADB. I may have screwed myself. Does anyone want a dead Rabbit? Thanks for your help and efforts on this project. I'm trying to restore this factory, but the instructions do not work. Grr.

@MrMediaGuy, amazing my cam works perfect now!

MrMediaGuy commented 1 week ago

@thededman Does the boot screen say your device is in Orange state or Red state? Typically this happens if there is a mismatch between the vendor.img and boot img.

Regardless you should be able to fix it by flashing again. Usually if you start the flashing process over from scratch, you can just plug the R1 in when the script is "waiting" and just let it boot loop and eventually it should "catch." If that doesn't work there is a tiny reset button inside the SIM tray that will let you reset the power.

Same thing happened to me and it's because I really messed it up (while trying to be a smart ass...I've deleted all the partitions on my Rabbit (ALL), guess what happened next). Restore to factory? Don't waste your time, won't work.

I really though my Rabbit was dead until I did this: https://github.com/RabbitHoleEscapeR1/r1_escape/issues/26

Be sure you read all the thread details before you proceed.

Good luck and let me know if it worked for you.

Here is a way to do it at well, if you cant get the GSF id from ADB, you can use this link to download a mirror APK called Device ID..

https://www.xda-developers.com/how-to-fix-device-not-certified-by-google-error/

Enter that into the website for google registering (https://www.google.com/android/uncertified) and then RESTART the device and make sure you are connected to a network. if it doesn't take it right away, restart the device again and you should be good to go.
