Feature Request: proxy manager #42

It could be nice to have a proxy manager because consumers video cameras use 
ofter AVCHD which need a very fast computer to deal with. The possibility to 
render the final editing by switching on orginal files could be great.
In fact, it's seems to be very usefull in many case : apple prores as source 
files, avchd, stability, portability of the project...

I'm marking this accepted. Editing using high quality files may be a 
performance problem which can be avoided by using proxy clips, so this is a 
very desirable feature

This is a post 1.0 feature and we'll try get it done during 2014.
