Works FANTASTIC on Droid X #82

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. No problems just wanted to tell all about the performance on the Droid X
2. I have all of the settings maxed out and it is smooth as butter.
3. This is the best game to be played on the Android OS by a long shot!

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Android 2.1 on Droid X

Please provide any additional information below.

How are you controlling movement? I have yet been able to even move. I can
shoot, but that's it. lol

well I can "look" by moving finger across touchscreen, but I can't actually
move.

Go into the contols menu and set the volume rocker for walk forward and jump. I
have the fire control mapped to the touch screen and the camera button.

How? Doesn't let me change the walk forward to the volume buttons or the camera
button on droid x. It stays as a "???".

Same here. Starting to wonder if all the people with an X are full of it. No
one can seem to specify HOW they mapped the volume rockers.

I tried this on my Droid X running 2.1-Update1

I cannot map any physical buttons to the game. I can stand there, look around,
shoot, but I cannot move.

If I could get a way to move, this could be a fun game. I'm very impressed at
the performance in theory, but until I start moving around the map, it's hard
to gauge the frame rate.

I wasn't able to map controls on my Droid Incredible until I got one of the
newer test releases. Then it worked fine. I don't know if I did anything else.
I guess make sure your Quake 3 config isn't write protected.

works great on my Droid X, but some instruction on how the controls are
supposed to work would be nice. (i will try the keyboard mapping hints listed
above)

also, is there any way to be able to pop up the keyboard for text boxes and
more importantly, entering the cd key? I know it's not your fault that we droid
x users have no keyboard... maybe i could manually add it somehow without the
application running?

Anyway, thanks you're doing an amazing job on this!
=)

Mostly updated to the latest 1.1f build for virtual joypad support. Note the
cdkey is not important.

is the cdkey not crucial if you want to play online? anyway, the next phone i
get will have a keyboard so it shouldn't be an issue... wish i had bought the
droid 2 instead... stil though, very fun to play bots using droid x.

My Android device has two SD cards. Could you make it work from mnt/extern_SD
too please.
It doesn't seem to look there.
Many thanks.
