b7610: keybord backlight always on when phones backlight is.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Turn on the phone
2.Using the phone (TS's backlight on)
3.the keyboard backlight turns on whatever the condition is(keybord opened or 
not)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
-the KB backlight will stay on as long as TS backlight is, it must 
automatically turn off instead (after a timeout or when closing the KB)
-the phone's battery drain faster and the phone temperature increase.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Beta2 with 2D/3D, KB & sensors updates

Please provide any additional information below.

Same here. Would prefer as a first step the keyboard LED's to not activate at 
all to conserve battery.

Has a slider switch been mapped during the keyboard adaptation? During my 
teardown I found no trace of a mechanical device to detect keyboard opening, 
maybe it is a magnetic (hall sensor) device.

maybe gpio's are used to detect keyboard slide (interupt?) and to drive led(s). 
If they are driven this way they could be found by using gpiogfx.

It's not necessary to have the KB LED's dependent on the sliding, it's more 
interesting to have it disactivated after a timeout and activated when typing 
on the KB.

How are leds behave in winmo?

If you slide the leds are turned on? when slided back off? when keyboard isnt 
touched for .. secs they are turned of? Can this beaviour be set in settings? 
how?

In winmo:
When slide the leds are turned on for 3 secs if its not touched, after that its 
turned off, the KB Leds behavior cannot be set in winmo setting

even if the KB is supported wil the 23-03-2011 update the KB LEDs problem is

Elbee, led will light when keyboard is slided out and wil be off after a few 
seconds when keyboard is not touched. It will light up again when a key is 
pressed and be off again when no key is pressed after a few seconds.

I will try to help tofind the gpio's, starting right now..

i have noticed that when i slide the KB the Music player start automatically 
(after installing 23-03-2011 update)

Erikcas, i see that you have been able to find gpio , can we expect an update,?
One last question, i m wondering if it s more interresting to install the 
23-03-2011 update on a clean Beta2 update??

@bahi.you.. we found the switch which detects the slide, not the led, so we 
cant patch the led yet. 

The slide detect (GPIO_HALL_SW) is now misconfigured as GPIO_EAR_SEND_END which 
could trigger a musicplayer. This will be patched on the next B7610 update. Not 
clear when it is plannned ...

the rev29 update is mainly kernel and matching modules with only some 
keyboardfiles and a symlink, so there is no benefit to do a clean beta2 install 
if you are already running beta2, but it is possible to skip other beta2+ 
patches if you do a clean install.

GPIO_EAR_SEND_END triggers the musicplayer when jack is connected if this can 
help
I did a clean beta2 install and applied the rev29 update , i noticed that the 
phone is more stable, the problem is , i'm having SOD spacially after making 
phone calls , witch  is a little annoying spacially when you have to recive 
phone calls from other people and you don't kcon that the phone crached!! i m 
wonderig if there is a direct relationship between phone call process and the 
SOD ( is it the process that makes the phone freeze ??)
