I tried formatting my sd with gparted.
The first partition is an fat32 1024MB (DISK0) and second partition is an ext4
with the remaining space (disk).
I copy the contents of the partition fat32 file froyo_beta1_1024.zip.
I run the following command
sudo su -
cd / media/DISK0
ext4.tar.gz sudo cp / media / disk
cd / media / disk
xcfz ext4.tar.gz sudo tar-C / media / disk
sudo rm ext4.tar.gz
haret.exe nothing but run the file continues to go in "loop"

This library works for me to enable me to boot up froyo,
however still cant run angry bird in full, some graphics component still
missing, can see like 50% of the graphics now compared to 30% of the
graphics(which was totally unusable in eclair) - refer issue 122
datetime issue still exists but no longer overwrites my winmo's time, timezone
selection does not update time shown in top toolbar of the OS. that time shown
there does not seems to run...only updates once in a while it seems, like every
15mins or so...so manually updating the time still does not update the time
shown in the widget and the top toolbar as well...but if you open "clock" app
it shows correctly.
- refer issue 121
CAMERA button DOES work!!! ( you have to not fully press it and hold it for a
while for it to fires the camera app ) - hope this hint helps the developer in
tracing the root cause =) take note our omnia II camera button has 2 levels of
sensor, first level for auto focus and 2nd for capture shutter right? so it
seems you have mapped the camera to the auto focus key so pressing and holding
the camera button actually will fire the camera app but fully pressing it does
not.

I also have request_suspend_state problem, than I realize that in my first boot
attempt, which fails, the file o2b3update.tar.gz has been removed (don't know
why...) from my storage. I just copy again this tar.gz and now I am using
Android on my Omnia I8000! Hope this help.

Like said before, this error is caused by out-dated 3d lib, please use/copy
http://www.filesonic.sg/file/732622911/o2b3update.tar.gz
And it should work!

@rayshake.. camera button thing is not very ontopic, but a very interesting
remark. Will check out code/mapping of both keys/keystates the next time i dive
into the keyboard driver for adding keyboard slide detect for b7610.
Thanks for the tip!

Perhaps it's time to update the guide on how to install Froyo within the
internal 8GB "my storage" of the phone rather than installing it to the storage
card (SD card). I tried this guide from modaco:
http://www.modaco.com/content-page/322429/android-on-omnia-ii-i8000-18-04-2011/p
age/740/#entry1572487
with the minor change from ext2.tar.gz to ext4.tar.gz. I get a kernel panic
following the instructions. Am I doing something wrong or does this method from
Modaco no longer works. Thanks in advance.

Carmine, can you try to reinstall? Do you use installer from download or do you
try manual install?

can you reinstall and try this:
Wipe everything on /media/disk
sudo su
cd /media/disk
rm -r *
cd /media/DISK0
tar zxvf ext4.tar.gz -C /media/disk
(please mind, I have less "spaces" in my commands then you have, so maybe
copy/paste)
download http://www.filesonic.sg/file/732622911/o2b3update.tar.gz
copy o2b3update.tar.gz to /media/disk0
run haret

erikcas1972 I followed your command there and what I get after haret is this
init:cannot execve (' /system/bin/akmd') Permission denied
init:cannot execve (' /system/bin/dbus-demon') Permission denied
init:cannot execve (' /system/bin/keystore') Permission denied
I even tried
sudo chmond 777 /media/disk/system/bin/*
I still keep getting Permission denied
