beta3: wifi wep error

Submitted from phone. Missed typed to submit prior to giving details sorry bout 
that.
running froyo beta now. Problem with wifi connection. Just trying to connect 2 
a wep secured wifi and not able2. Goes from scanning to connecting to 
disconnected without any FC and error. Just keep repeating the same status upon 
retry and never gets the connected status

What steps will reproduce the problem
1. Install froyo beta1
2. upgrade with o2b3update.tar.gz to add 3Daccelerator lib
3. run froyo as usualy (download stuffs using 3G, hsdpa lines)
4. Try to connect wifi -> failed

Expected output: wifi to work as usualy

Version: Froyo image released on 18th apr 2011

did this work for you on beta2? 
because beta2 has simular issues with wep (have to look up the issue numbers 
...)

Had the same problem too.  I used rayshake's steps to install Froyo on i8000 
and Wifi is not working
