App "move to sd" not working

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Go to Settings/Applications/manage applications;
2.take any app that is downloaded;
3.click on "move to sd"

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The application should be moved to sd, to free up space on internal memory. 
Instead, I receive the message "failed to move application".

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
froyo beta 1

Please provide any additional information below.

I tried to use other applications like app2sd but they are all using the OS 
menu and the result is the same.

Interessting issue, it works fine for me. Perhaps some restart would do the job

I have the same issue. I've already tested it for many hours.
My android 2.2 beta 1 is working from "My storage" (internal 2GB).
I can mount and explore my 8gb external sd card.
But impossible to move an app to the sd card. 
I've got the same "Failed to move" msg.
