I think it is best you contact your network provider. When I googled this
problem, I found several users with various OS'es on their phones, who solved
this problem by getting a new sim-card. It turned out to be a problem with an
outdated sim card.
In issue 156 you stated that you sometimes have this problem on WinMo to.

yup. Having same message, and having no similar problems. But again, I've read
on iternet about people having same problems, on different OS'es. After
receiving a new sim, their problems dissapeared.

GT-I8000
Got a new SIMcard but still the same problem.
Works great with beta1 and Winmo 6.5 with both new and old SIMcard. The new SIM
is also low voltage(old was higher voltage version).
Change settings in *#*#4636#*#* to all sorts instead of only GSM.
Checked/unchecked in normal settings "use only G2".
The strange thing is that the name of my network provider seem to be found,
even APN, but no service.
