Compass points to opposite direction #190

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. any compass application do so
2. in Windows 6.5 is correct
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
expected: compass needle points north
instead: points south (west is east etc.)

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I8000 XXJB2
2012-02-08: CyanogenMod beta 2

Please provide any additional information below.
Compass works fine, precisely but need 180 degrees correction - but how?
