Campaign CTDs mid-engagement (possible return of M60 issue?) #287

Describe the bug

The game has been crashing abruptly during some campaign missions while engaging. This is not consistent but has happened maybe 3-4 times in the last few times I've played the game, and always seems to be when fighting M60s. Not exclusive to the more powerful Soviet ammo - the other day this happened firing 3BM15 as well.

Are you playing with mods?

No.

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Play campaign for a while (typically I'm at least 2 missions deep in a session when this happens)
  2. Find some M60s. Start shooting them.
  3. See if the game CTDs. If not, might need another mission or three before it happens.

Expected Behavior

The game to not CTD during an engagement.

This may or may not be aggravated by my dumb ass leaving a gazillion browser tabs open in the background while playing, or taking a couple dozen screenshots via Steam in the immediate leadup to it happening...

Similar happened to me on several defence missions, always with M60s, and usually be the end of the mission, even with all M60s already dead.
