It is possible to use the main sight if it is destroyed on the M1. You cannot lase, but you can still access it and fire from it.

To Reproduce
Open longer road mission and switch to abrams with broken ballistic computer amd main sight or somehow destroy your abrams' main sight and ballistic computer
Press F to use mg
Press F again to go back to main gun
Fire, or do whatever you please with this knowledge
