Hi ! Thank you for the suggestion 🤗
I don't personally use tags, how would you see them applied here ?
I suppose we could add a tag when creating notes from a vocab list with the name of the given vocab list. Then notes would have a list of tags which are all the vocab lists they appear in ? (Simply add the tag if the note already exists)
Would something like this suit you ? To distinguish between seasons it would have to be different vocab lists though.
I will look into it next week as I am really busy right now ^^'
Hi!
I was envisioning the same thing as your idea, grabbing the tag name from the name of the vocab list, and just applying the tag if it already exists.
The main goal was to distinguish different JPDB decks within one anki deck, not necessarily season. Some seasons are listed separately on JPDB though. I was hoping to add multiple JPDB decks with the same genre, same JLPT level, or same series to one anki deck, in order to reduce anki deck clutter, but still wanted to be able to filter based on the origin JPDB deck. For example all ghibli films might go in one anki deck since the vocabulary will be similar. Currently when using the tool to add two different JPDB decks to the same anki deck will skip repeat cards so this will also let user skip doing that manually.
No worries on timeline, I tagged a few manually for now.
Thank You!
I will automatically tag with the vocab list's name + create an input field to enter additional tags at creation time
That way we could update a batch of notes using a vocab list directly 👍
It would be nice if the JPDB VocabList feature could at least optionally tag the cards with the name of the show, book, etc. in case a user wants to add multiple related JPDB decks to one Anki deck. One example of such a use case is adding multiple seasons of a show. Of course this can be done manually, but automating it would be nice. Tags for the recall vs recognition cards would also be a useful touch.
