Unable to 'fetch' lens to model #59

Open Capella05 opened 9 years ago

I entered my user name and lens id as per normal and got the following error: image

Closed app and reopened, the same credentials and lens id work fine.

Will try to recreate issue.

Happened again on this ID - unable to fetch the lens image

I'm pretty sure this is only a bug in the UI.. I'll check it out

Question @Capella05: did this occur after a proper reload of the website, or did you use the "restart" button after you finished modelling another lens?

Capella05 commented 9 years ago

I closed the browser tag and restarted SpaghettiLens, the browser window was still opened. Even when closing the browser window and restarting, the issue occurs.

Recreating it now...

The issue is still occurring when I enter one of the ID's printed above. The 'Fetch' button is still greyed out (not to sure why - as the ID is valid) and I clicked on 'OK'. I guess that is a reflex action - The right hand side button tends to be the submit functionality.

There is a 'restart' button???

Hi Rafi - I am now unable to model any new lenses. I get the same issue on the following id's:

ASW00096rm ASW0008pag ASW0003r6c ASW0005qiz ASW0005rnb ASW00086xq ASW0009cox

All of the id's that can't be retrieved are already in the SpaghettiLens database, as there is no option to 'Fetch' the image.

Els is also reporting she is getting the same problem.

And I finally found the restart button.

Hi

I think I figured it out: Could you test whether it works if you enter the number, then click on the (only) id in the drop down field, then click ok? Or enter part of the number, and select the entry in the drop down field with the mouse?

If so, use this as a work around until I fixed the issue.

I'll make a reload button in the top row. Until then, you could simply use F5 to reload the page.

That seems to work!

Cheers :-)

note to me:

chrome doesn't update #sel_lens if only typing. needs a refresh / on change update of sorts..

in lenses/templates/lenses/select_lens.js line 200: add an update of the #sel_lens and #sel_lens_id
