Mutator Dialog covers svg display (IE9)

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Click on the mutator dialog button of a block in IE9.

What is the expected output? 
The expected output is a 'mutator dialog' i.e. a nested block editor. (See 
attachment from Chrome)

What do you see instead?
A white square which covers most of the svg display. (See attachment from IE9)

This functionality is defined in the mutator.js file. Also, it does work in 
IE10.
