Security update #747

There's a bunch of DeprecationWarnings coming out of SQL Alchemy with this, which we should handle before we use this again.

I'm happy to help fix deprecation warnings. Just let me know what they are or where I can see them.

@iandees run the tests locally and you can see them. I was doing this at the airport yesterday so I didn't dig in too much, but I think they're probably all one thing.

@dryan I ran tests and didn't see any warnings. I did spot another security thing that I fixed in #748.
