Error code 2503 at installation #121

Hi,

I'm trying to install the program and I got this error :

I don't know if it's an already known error.

First time seeing this one. Have you tried running the installer with administrator privileges? Right click the installer then run as admin.

Yes I tried running the installer as admin.

But don't make my case high priority, I just wanted to try the app since UEVR just came out.

Foxit (PDF Editor) has a guide on how to deal with this. I noticed that for Windows 10 and 11, they mention a different way of running as admin here (basically running msiexec /i "path/to/installer.msi" from an elevated command prompt). I wonder if that means the usual right click / run as admin method doesn't work for msi installers on Windows 10/11.

If that still doesn't work, they suggest other things you can try. I would skip the one that suggests running CCleaner/Malwarebytes, as I doubt that would help. If you do follow these fixes, I'd ask that you try them one at the time and see which one actually fixes it, so I can tell other people to do the same: https://kb.foxit.com/hc/en-us/articles/360040660391-Fix-Error-2502-and-2503-while-installing-or-uninstalling

This doesn't seem to be a very common problem, and seems to be a general problem with MSI installers, so I'm not sure if there's much I can do other than seeing what solution works for you and suggest it to other people who might come across the same problem.
