Central database with web browser access? #1829

I am a newbie here, so I could be asking the wrong question..

Can anybody suggest an email client, that can store it's email database on a simple Win 10 box on a shared network drive, and use a web browser interface on any PC on the LAN, without hanging or scrambling on a wi fi drop out?

At the moment I use Thunderbird email client for about 3 to 5 users. The TB email databases are on a simple Win10 PC for central backup and able to start up on any desktop on the LAN. ( the target profile is set to the network drive.) This works well until there is a wi fi drop out, or LAN congestion. Then TB hangs and occaisionally creates ugly temp files.
