rainloop Gmail Auth #2169

Hi Guys,

i am using rainloop v1.16.0 but google announces that rainloop will not work properly with plain user/credentials auth after mai '22.

how can we avoid service interruption after that date?

It is still working for me. I am using App passwords.

Hi, thanks, but how do you mean App passwords?

You can create a unique app password in your Google account and use that instead of your regular password to use Rainloop.

App passwords are a step back in security. Why not OAuth2? That's basic nowadays.
