Add TOC #1126

Hello, I have created the TOC using "Headings" option. I can see each chapter
listed in the Table of Contents window. However, the TOC.xhtml file does not
show up under the "Book Browser" window. I have "clicked" the Generate TOC from
Headings and I do have the "TOC items only" boxed checked. I clicked OK. Still
no .xhtml tab under "Book Browser." I also do not see the "TOC Editor" option
under "Tools". I am using Windows Vista operating system.

How do I add the TOC.xhtml under the Acknowledments file on the Book Browser?

Thanks,
Shellie

If you want an inline xhtml based toc you need to create it manually. ePub uses
the toc.ncx which is a special file used by reading devices to show a toc.

Do you not create the TOC in Sigil manually first? I followed the steps
outlined in the Sigil users manual to create the TOC. What am I missing? Thank
you, Shellie
