Is there a limit in the "insert image" pick box #1150

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. have a large project with a hundred or so images in the directory with the
epub
2. start editing your book, adding images
3. eventually, when you try to add additional images.. you cannot, because the
"Insert Image" file selection box won't show all the images in the directory.
The scroll buttons in the dialogue don't bring you to all the images in the
directory.
...
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I could not scroll and pick images. I counted the number of images Sigil let
me see in the file selection box... it allowed me to see first 59 images, and
no more than that.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Sigil 4.903, installed from "Sigil-0.4.903-Linux-x86_64-Setup.bin" to Linux
Mint 12.

Clarification and update: The insert image select box bug (listing only 59
files) was when I was adding images to the project from a directory on my hard
drive.

I was able to work around this by adding all my book images (about 90) to the
image directory in the project browser... then when I needed to add one to the
book, they were all accessible.

I just want to be sure, it's happening when you use File -> New -> Add existing
files? Or right clicking the book browser and choosing Add existing files? And
not Edit -> Insert image?

It happened when I click the "Insert Image" icon on the tool bar.

I discovered this is not a Sigil problem and I recommend this bug report be
closed.

Background: I had been having problems with this fresh install of Linux
Mint 12. I Googled and found many unhappy users and it was traced back to
the new Gnome 3. I reverted my desktop back to Gnome 2... and this problem
went away.

Apparently Gnome 3 hasn't been good for very many people.. no matter what
distro they use.

Closing per OP request issue is caused by Gnome 3.
