Sigil crashes whenever I run it

Hello... I am not able to use Sigil in my current computer (worked perfectly in 
another one). I am using Ubuntu 11.10 with LXDE window manager. I'm pasting 
below the error message Sigil shows after crashing:

Error info: Critical: kfilemodule(17456): couldn't create slave: "Unable to 
create io-slave:
klauncher said: Unknown protocol ''.
" 
Sigil version: 0.5.0
Runtime Qt: 4.7.4
Compiled Qt: 4.7.2
Platform: Linux
