curl dependency

The libcurl dependency is failing right now. It's not a direct dependency, though, but the fact is that it's there.

Describe the solution you'd like

We use curl directly in the library, and we don't say it's a dependency. We should try and reduce dependencies, somehow.

Describe alternatives you've considered

• Audit if libcurl is really needed.
• Use libcurl instead of curl from a shell
• List curl as a binary dependency.
• Use a totally different offline navigation library like LWP::Simple.
