look for https://github.com/RamonUnch/AltSnap/releases/tag/1.62 basically 1.62 without the v the v is a typo I made tags on this repo should not have v prefix, because I started this way. I know this is not usual...

Ah - you are saying the following.

Github release-notification emails give links of this form:

      https://github.com/RamonUnch/AltSnap/releases/tag/v[version number]

Note the 'v' towards the end. Yet, in this repository, the releases (or at least full versions of them) are available, only, at

      https://github.com/RamonUnch/AltSnap/releases/tag/[version number]

Note the missing 'v'.

This situation will continue to throw those who receive notification emails.

I made a mistake when doing the release and named the tag v1.62 instead of 1.62 then I renamed the tag to 1.62 without the v and worked from here. it seems it created actually a duplicate that should be removed by now.

So it is normal you received notification with v1.62. But the proper release if tagged 1.62 now. and v1.62 should be removed.

I will try my best to avoid this kind of mistakes in the future, because it is indeed a significant annoyance for everyone receiving e-mail notifications.

The question is then why you did not receive notification about 1.62 in addition to v1.62 maybe because I directly edited the tag instead of creating a new one? but I digress.

Ah, so the problem will not automatically repeat itself. Good. Also, thank you for your software (and I do not know why I did not receive a second notification about version 1.62).
