I plan to analyze word frequencies in Alexander Pope's verse translation and Samuel Butler's prose translation of the Odyssey in comparison with the first volume of the original Greek text.

That's brilliant. I like your idea so much. I was just wondering do you think that word frequencies only will be sufficient to compare the translations and/or allow you to determine which translation is more accurate (if that's your goal)?
