When I find a summary article I want to read in full, I click the “Open in…” button at bottom right, and pick a browser (usually Brave, but also Safari). When I 3-finger swipe back to NetNewsWire, the “Open in…” popup menu is still there, blocking much of the read view. Clicking outside the popup doesn’t make it go away.
My workaround is to swipe back to the browser, wait three seconds (one or two seconds doesn’t work) and then back to NetNewsWire. Either the popup is gone, or it will go away if I click outside it.
For some sites (eg abc.net.au) waiting for the page to load completely will avoid the problem. For others, waiting for a complete load doesn’t help (maybe because there’s a continual feed of ad content?)

A frustrating bug in an otherwise excellent app.
