After tapping the RSS button on the website, Safari opens a modal dialog asking if the user wants to 'Open this page in “NetNewsWire”?'. Choose Open.
The system switches to NetNewsWire, with the Add Web Feed sheet opened and pre-populated with the feed URL. Tap cancel to dismiss the sheet.
NetNewsWire has now navigated to the home screen (titled Feeds), with no possibility to return to the same article as before, because there is no option to show read items, the list shows only unread articles.
Desired outcome:
NetNewsWire should return to the same article and reading position (as before the link from Safari was received) when the add feed sheet is dismissed.
version 6.1.4 (build 6120) iOS 17.6.1 iPhone 13
I have disabled the option to open links in NetNewsWire, so they open in Safari.
Steps to reproduce:
open any article with links in NetNewsWire
tap a link to open it in Safari, preferably from a website that offers a RSS feed (mine was https://infrequently.org/2024/01/performance-inequality-gap-2024/)

Thank you for looking into this.
