Notification badge not disappearing #4365

I just updated to ios18 and when I loaded new stories the notification badge on the app icon for the number of new stories isn't going away despite reading all the new stories

I'm having the same issue. Marking some stories as unread and then read again seems to reset it, but it's happened a few times since the update.

Same issue. Badge count reduced from 10 to 3 when all articles read but now stuck showing 3 unread.

Edit: i have observed that not clearing the badge notifications properly seems to happen if you use the mark all read button but not if you actually read each item normally.
