For my part, lockdown has given me plenty of time to contemplate the Great Mysteries of GitHub, such as: If I can star my own repos, how come I can't follow myself?

I tend to think of GitHub stars as a bookmark feature, so it could make sense to star your own repos.

I like to use it as such as well but the search bar being terrible doesn't help me with that
