The video playback relies on the built-in system video player. It won't work for all codecs.
What video codecs are the source and output using? (mp4 and mkv are the container).
The output is h265 hevc_nvenc and the input is av1. The machine is a laptop with 4070 (running in discrete mode)
It's usually pretty good about playing H.264 but H.265 and AV1 are more hit or miss. It just depends on what that version of Windows supports natively for media playback.
iam on windows 11 23h2 (latest version) but i removed the metro media player and disabled classic windows media player
Wait, what do you mean "removed the metro media player"?
Windows 11 bundles its own media player that uses modern windows api ? These apps were named metro apps. The app in question is groove music and its now called media player
Problem Description
Video Compare doesn't really play any video (source and output). source is mp4 output is mkv
Does video compare require any special configuration ? Iam using the portable build Note 1: I switched installer and same behavior as above is happening
What version of VidCoder are you running?
11.7 beta
