Non monotonically increasing dts to muxer #517

Open GT40Wins opened 5 years ago

Last night tried to transcode 10 videos and 6 failed. All failure experienced "non monotonically increasing dts to muxer" Thinking it was a version issue installed most recent stable update. Picked out one video and tried again on stable and on Beta vidcoder new release. Both experienced same problem. As you have indicated in past I tried video on Handbreak and it was successful. Please find links to log files. (This is my first post, Been using VidCoder for years w/o a problem, GREAT program!!)

In the HandBrake log it indicates that you are encoding the audio to AAC, while in VidCoder, you are doing an audio passthrough. Can you try with the same settings for both?

GT40Wins commented 5 years ago

The advantage of Vidcoder is I never spent a lot of time setting it up, It just worked out of the box. I really appreciate that. So I hope I found the way to defeat audio passthrough and setup as audio=aac. Having done that it still failed. Right or wrong the settings that I have been using have remained constant for more than a year without problem. So something else changed in last month or so. Hmm. something is quite odd with the audio settings. It's somehow set to 0 kbps bitrate. Could you share %appdata%\VidCoder\VidCoder.sqlite ? I can take a look and figure out what's going on.

GT40Wins commented 5 years ago

Saw that Audio Bitrate was 0, thinking that maybe SQL File was issue, renamed and let program generate a new one. With that the program ran to the end of test video error free. Took a while to find the SQL file. Will test the other 6 and report back in next day or two if that is OK. Attached is new SQL File. Thanks for the help!! VidCoder.txt

If you still have the old sqlite file around that was giving you the issue, share it so I can figure out what went wrong.

Sorry just arrived home from work and had a quick dinner. Last night I opened the SQL file in Wordpad and thought to make sense of it started to delete empty pages to put all text together then started to highlight. The original is gone when recycle bin was emptied. But videos that had problem included Vis, Def, Incred, 57, Hunt, and Unsai. Did see lots of Bitrates=0. Not sure if that is the problem. Seems that I lost my original setting when I had SQL re-generate. Now have new aspect ratio. Bet if I look carefully at SQL I can reprogram the aspect ratio. In any case tried another video a few minutes ago and it worked. Thanks!

Did SQLfile help identify what the problem was? Have not used in last 6 days.

RandomEngy commented 5 years ago

You mentioned that you had to re-generate the .sqlite file and things were working with the new one. I assumed the new, working one is what you posted. In that case it's not useful to me to fix the issue.

Sorry for misunderstanding the one I posted 11 days ago was all I had left of the SQL file you requested. Although in Word doc it should almost all be there except for nearly empty pages I deleted and some highlights I added. If you run into my problem again at least you'll have another example to compare. You mentioned that "Audio Bitrate was 0" might be the problem. On behalf of the entire Vidcoder community I'd like to thank you for a GREAT and VERY USEFUL Program.
