In order to recreate the error: Source->open DVD/Blue-ray Folder.. -> choose a directory with Hebrew name The program will display "An error occurred while scanning"

Is this stable or beta?

Moishl commented 8 years ago

Stable. Version 1.5.34.0 Based on HandBrake 0.10.2 P.S There are only x64 versions to download from the web site

RandomEngy commented 8 years ago

Hmm. Can't reproduce the issue right now, though I don't have a proper DVD folder at work. What is the folder name?

About the x64, that's intentional. 32-bit OSes are becoming less common and you can run into out of memory issues with the x86 version. I thought I would simplify things a bit on the website and push people toward the more stable one. Someday I'll stop building x86 altogether, though I want to get some analytics on how many people still have them.

Moishl commented 8 years ago

Just use any combination of Hebrew letters as a directory name. My guess is that any non Latin charsets will do. Where can I get the x32 versions until you decide to erase them?

Moishl commented 8 years ago

oops !

RandomEngy commented 8 years ago

The x86 versions are available on the GitHub site. You can click the "Release Notes" link and they're on that page.

Same issue with Beta version 2.25.0.0 (x86) 32b

Looks like this is an error with the HandBrake library. I've opened a bug on them: https://github.com/HandBrake/HandBrake/issues/127

Moishl commented 8 years ago

I uploaded there handbrake log output. Toda
