Pretty cool idea, I'll add it to the backlog
Still think that would a great idea that could really enhance the crafting aspect of the game. I do not see it currently in the backlog, so bumped the issue in case you just missed it :).
I would love to see the different rarities applied to raw materials like wood and leather scraps as well, and higher rarity could then be used for higher upgrade levels as additional resource costs - or to unlock new upgrade levels. A bit like Albion Online :).
And high level raw materials would be only dropped by at random by mobs with high levels (configurable) or at random by high level trees.
I think that would give make grinding for raw material feel a lot more rewarding.
