WIP: Remove superfluous Python and minor changes for Raspberry Pi #41

This should finalize the Python code

I've made the necessary changes and gotten this code installed onto the Raspberry Pi. Trying out on the Raspberry Pi, unlocking and syncing both are working from what I can tell.

Making this a work in progress so that I can handle resource_id column before this is merged.
