Gnome 44 Support #205

The changes I've made are working on my end, but of course, more confirmations are needed! :+1:

Thanks for the research. But I'd rather drop support for older versions than add if's. Especially on Arch there is absolutely no point on supporting aging api and making useless legacy code ... ;) I will make a few change and publish a new release for Gnome 44 only as soon as Gnome 44 hits Arch. I will leave this PR open so that users can find it if needed.
