Hi! On your site you have a link to a discord server. This is considered dangerous because people who don't know that discord is malware could accidentally click on the link and install malware on their computer.

In your PR you say that you don't want to remove the link. I understand that, but there are other options to consider.

[ ] Add a Matrix space (or just one room) and bridge it with discord.

t2bot can be used to create a bridge between Discord and Matrix. Alternatively, the bot can be self-hosted. This way people would be able to talk to each other without being forced to interact with discord. People who still use discord will be able to talk with people who have joined the matrix room.
[ ] Add any other privacy-respecting communication platform. Session, Briar, Telegram, Simplex, etc.
[ ] Add a warning that the users will see before they are forwarded to discord.

When people click on the discord link, they should be warned about the consequences. If they click "ok", then you could redirect them to the discord website.
[ ] Add a mailto link. Even though in the PR you say that there's a email address (support@jimaku.cc), it's nowhere to be found on the website. Consider linking it next to the other links in the footer.

Since DJT already has a Matrix space, we could actually help you moderate your Matrix space, if you don't want to bother with it. You still need to set up the discord bridge yourself though.

I have no plans on having a Matrix server nor a Matrix bridge. The matrix servers I have seen advertised in the tatsumoto-ren GitHub page have been full of pedophile apologists and bringing in even the potential of these people into my community is a no-go for me personally, especially since it's against the Discord guidelines. On top of that, it would be disingenuous for me to promote a Matrix server when I would not check on it.

You don't have to host your own matrix server. Setting it up requires work and a decent vps to set up. However, you can create a room in just a couple clicks. I don't see why you'd be so against it. Just giving it a shot is going to bring so much value and make your community more inclusive.

I'm not sure if I can agree. I don't understand where you draw this conclusion from. An enormous number of pedophile apologists are on discord, yet you don't question it. The servers that we recommend are for registering new accounts on. We choose servers based on how reliable they are. People who use those servers are not learning japanese, nor do they download japanese subtitles. They're not going to join your room. Additionally, Matrix allows you not to federate with servers that you don't want to federate with. Discord doesn't have this feature.

The default server (matrix.org) is fine too, honestly. We don't recommend it to our members, but that's a different topic.

I've seen your comment in https://github.com/tatsumoto-ren/tatsumoto-ren.github.io/pull/28#issuecomment-2075613357 and it appears that you already have an MXID. From that, creating a room is super easy.

The bridge bot will take care of that. Plus, it shouldn't be too difficult to open the Element app and read a few messages.

Other options that I mentioned in this comment https://github.com/Rapptz/jimaku/issues/8#issue-2261139262 are all better than discord, so I suggest considering them as well.
