hideTitle and hideDescription should not be language independent fields from my point of view.
it should be possible to hide the description for a translated document but still show it in another language.
do you depend on these fields being language independent anywhere?

mine is to hide title and navigation and have tinymce styles that mimic the look of title and description.
this way i can show the (shorter) title in the navigation and the longer title contained in the document text when viewing the article.
