[Windows] Newer Xbox One controllers do not work #205

Open beefcat666 opened 7 years ago

beefcat666 commented 7 years ago

Expected Behavior: Control OpenPHT using an Xbox One S controller connected via USB, Bluetooth, or Xbox One wireless dongle.

Actual Behavior: OpenPHT does not respond to user input on controller from any of the three available connection methods. Older (non-Bluetooth capable) Xbox One controllers still work fine over both USB and with the official wireless dongle.

Steps to reproduce: Connect Xbox One S controller via any one of the three supported protocols (USB, official dongle, or Bluetooth (Windows 10)). Start OpenPHT. Attempt to interact with the software using the controller.

OpenPHT: OpenPHT 1.7.1, Default skin, Windows 10 version 1607 ("Anniversary Update") PMS: Plex Media Server 2.7.4, Windows 10 version 1607 ("Anniversary Update")

I have experienced the same with an Xbox Elite Controller and official wireless dongle.

Me too. My old XBOX 360 controller worked fine, but my new XBOX One controller over Bluetooth does not work at all with OpenPHT. I confirmed that the controller itself is working with a different program, so it's an OpenPHT issue.

Any update on this? I am using my Xbox controller wired and cannot control the application. Thanks!
